I recently managed to find a working ROM of one of my favourite games from the GBA era. This game is truly thought-provoking and mentally stimulating. Honest.
Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak. I would say it’s a guilty pleasure game, but I am far too shameless for that. Here’s a brief summary for those who had a deprived childhood and never played this game.
An evil hamster called Spat is destroying all the love in the world, and it’s up to Hamtaro and Bijou to make things right. You’re basically playing as a couple of matchmaking hamsters who can’t mind their own business. It’s really cute. There’s also a dress up option, and a dancing mini-game. The best part, however, is bothering all your friends and family by using Ham-Chat is every day life. Fun times. Oh, and the music will be stuck in your head for the next 10 years or so.
If you have a couple of hours to kill on something pointless but stupidly fun, then I can’t recommend this more.
